PROGRESS.

PATIENCE.

PEACE.

WEEK 8

When I started this project, the whole time I was just envision the end. It was probably an unrealistic thing to do, but sometimes you have to dream big about something to truly believe in it. I tried my best to capture this vision and to share it before the deadline.

But unfortunately, shit happens. Surprisingly, I don't feel as disappointed as I thought I would. I mean I would be a lot happier if I had finished it now because I would be showcasing it like I intended to. However, I think everything I've learnt and completed so far has been a great accomplishment, but an even greater lesson dealing with the positives and negatives throughout working on this project.

So, what happens now?

I'm going to continue working on this painting in the holidays and add in a 9th post for me to complete on my own when the painting is finished. I'll write up what will be the 'real' finale and talk about my journey's continuation, but for now, the first step is patience! Another step back so I can finish off my uni assignments and wait a bit for work to cool down too. Once the next two weeks are over I'll be able to a have a week of recovery (lol) and then about three weeks with all the time in the world to work on this art piece.

The next step after will be the overall progress of the painting, finally getting the last few sections of paint on that canvas! Depending on how my holidays go, I'll either smash it all out at once or break the painting in small session over a longer period of time. I don't want to think too much about doing the actual painting and timing it etc, I think that it will create unnecessary tension and stress which seem pointless.

After the painting is done, then I'll be able to relax and enjoy the peace that comes with sitting back and enjoying a work of art that I worked hard for. I'm looking forward to the feeling of what it will be like to have my very first official acrylic canvas painting that I have thought up, created and executed on my own.

So, if you're still around in a few weeks, make sure to check out that final post to see the final result!
