Hey Jonah, I think the topic you chose for your blog is awesome, music is something that is a huge part of my life too. I like how your upcoming EP is focusing on Polynesian culture, for us Kiwi/Islanders it's is a big part of our lives however in comparison to the world, it is tiny, and there are not a lot of rappers/musicians (outside of nz/aus) who talk about their culture and island upbringing. I look forward to hearing your music and the influence that you could potentially create with your connection to Polynesia

Hi Christine, I like the topic you’ve chosen! I actually have a friend who is a flight attendant and you’ve pretty much nailed how the lifestyle is and the pros/cons that come with it! I think that advantages definitely outweigh the cons, one of the schedules that he’s on now are flights between auckland and Houston in America, and one thing he was glad about was leaving aucklands cold weather and enjoying their summer over there. However he did say that jet-lag can be crazy and uncomfortable at times but he wouldn’t change for anything else. Awesome post!

Hi Kirstin,
I think you did a great job in this build, and from reading your research in the previous post, it's very similar to baches I've been to all my life (the pic with the bunk bed but the bottom one is a double made me crack up, I've seen that in like every one but i never see them in furniture stores - where do they come from???? lol), anyways everything you've done hits the nail on the head, the mix and match of outdated and modern furniture and the non typical kitchen colours are things always present in baches - maybe it's just a kiwi thing? haha anyways cool post!

Hi Erika,
After reading both your first version, I was blown away with the writing style you have, it's very playful, symmetrical and descriptive, it's something that i struggle to do when writing and after reading this edited 2nd version it really does inspire to practice these holidays so i can write a lot better in the future.  I really like how it's descriptive but visual, and deep, when i was reading it I definitely felt like I was in the mind of the character  I was also wondering if writing drabbles is something you do as an exercise for when you write prose/poems/etc, because of how short they are, it seems like a good warm up before writing  Awesome post my dude loool

Jonah's Site 2

hey Jonah,
Just wanted to say I know all about the creative block, especially with painting, and being stuck can really suck but I'm glad that you got back into it and created this funky asssssss song!!! It all seems real effortless when you post a new song, but I imagined it took you a while playing around with the verses and chorus shifting things round (skrrt), I think that the end result definitely gives off wavy vibes (much like your previous songs 'Bianca', 'Vibe wit me' and 'thought you would get it' - all probs my favs). Also Its good that you have a sense of realness in your songs, and not just the hype and bragging that a lot of rappers do nowadays which is ridiculous, but instead all the songs i've listened to explore life, struggle and culture! One of my fav rappers is called Loyle Carner who's from the Uk, but raps about the same time of stuff so maybe you should check him out sometime. I also think it's awesome how much motivation and drive you have to creating a music profile for yourself in New Zealand and I hope you make it big! Much respect!
